Septembers Winner - Jahfet

Bob is LIFE. Seen. Bob speaks from the heart, true feelings. People have eyes, but they don't see, people have ears but they don't hear. Bob helped InI see and hear. Bob represents righteousness, holy man, godly man. What he knows is not something that was taught to him, he knew it, we all know it. We all have the answers. Its something we're born with that we must find through all of the confusions the world has caused. Many are called and few are
choosen. Not many will find the answers that lie within. Just as many listen to Bob's music and have no idea what he is saying. Like he said in Ester, England, "Don't be pretending you have heard what I said".
Bob helps me trodd through Babylon- helps me keep up the fight-reminds me
to live. Not for money, material, not for governments, not for babylon, but for GOD. "ONLY ouselves can free our MINDS." For the time is near and the people still
do not hear. Bob lives in Zion 4-IVER. JAH RASTAFARI. Haile Selassie I. NEGAST NEGAST.

MUCH LOVE TO ALL,
JAHFET

Augusts Winner - Zachary Kenworthy.

I live in a small community , on a small island in the caribbean, and times can become very hard and difficult. Most of the time , making it to the end of the day becomes a war and not a journey. Then I remember the words of The Legend, Bob Marley. I remember the struggles and pain he had to endure to be heard. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and was grateful and content with what he had.He could have enjoyed life in a sweet surrender, but instead, let his voice be heard and, through his work, showed his fans, showed his followers, showed the world and more importantly, he showed me the way to live life, to be true to myself and to do what is right.
His lyrics were written with such truth and feeling that they are now used as a bible by many, worldwide. They can be fitted to any situation, and they allow me to see the light in my toughest of struggles.Sometimes i have to be '' Ïron like a lion in Zion", and sometimes i have to "Take it easy".No matter what the situation his art, his music, his sheer brilliance, always gives me the answer I need. He was the complete genious of his time and now is an example to follow, because of him I am whole, I am complete , and I can live the life that was intended for me.

Julys Winner - Austen E. Mikulka

Bob Marley represents to me the very essence of life and the way it should be lived. His songs cover every aspect of anyones life and have the ability to change anyones life. No matter where you are from or who you are, there isn't anyone who doesn't know what it is like to feel pain, to suffer, to love or to be loved, to dream, to be happy or sad, and most importantly, to have hope. That is the vision of his songs, to have hope and to believe that if you are a good loving person and have the desire to change something for the better, that it is at everyones core to want that to, no matter who they are. Everyone who has hate towards others who have done nothing to them are victims, not bad people themselves, and everybody has the ability to change that way of thinking.

You never get the feeling that anything he has ever said or done was for money or fame. You never get the feeling that being the figure that he was and is to so many people spoiled him. When you listen to his music, you feel as if no other music is as real or true to what is being said. Accept others, then respect them, then respect yourself. Love nature, and take care of all that is natural. Be true to yourself, and be glad when you meet someone who is your opposite. Everyting in life is an experience, and there is no better way to experience anything than to do so with open arms. He dreamed of a life that would be not only to his advantage, but to everybodys, and he wanted everybody to live that life with him.

He made me realize alot of things abuout myself and my life. What is really important and what is not. He made me realize that many of the things I worried about and even still do are not worth worrying about. He has taught me, and I am still learning, that life is to be enjoyed, and that it is at everyones advantage to approach it with love, respect, and acceptance.

Bob Marley and the Wailers, ( might I take this time to give a much deserved honorable mention to Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Aston "Family Man" Barrett, and Carlton Barrett) have recorded what I consider to be the most inspirational, beautiful, influential and important songs I have ever had the pleasure of hearing and learning from. I still have alot to learn, but I know He will be there for me as each lesson unfolds.

June's Winner - Sean Gaffney

Bob Marley's songs have changed my life. Before I discovered the healing power of Bob's Music, I would always walk around depressed. But a friend of mine told me about Bob's Songs of Redemption. I listen to the songs over and over. Sometimes I even take notes, and I have started to memorize some of the quotes. After a few weeks I decided to spread the word about these songs of freedom. I told just about everyone I knew about Bob's Music. I also told them that the music would help them when ever they were down. I also have a theory, this theory states that if everyone in the world were to give Bob's music a chance then there would be less war , depression , oppression , or racism. People would begin to understand one another's roots. Recently I noticed that Bob gives away the meaning of life in one of his songs. This song (Exodus) has a quote that goes like this, "Open your eyes and look within are you satisfied with the life your living." I thought about this for a while and I discovered that Bob Marley cares about the people who listen to his music, even the people who weren't alive for his lifetime. Bob saves his listeners the trouble of years and sometimes lifetimes and tells them the meaning of life. Now every morning I wake up I ask myself if I'm satisfied and if I am then I ask myself if I can keep it that way. If I'm not then I have to find ways to change the way I feel. I want to tell the whole world about this one quote. I recently told my whole school , and I made them all listeners of Bob's Music. I am trying to enlighten the whole world. I have put much of my time and programming skills toward making a Bob Marley Chat Room, a Bob Marley Mailing List, and many Bob Marley Web Pages. I really think that Bob's Music can change the world, so to anyone who reads this please spread the word. Here Are Some Quotes That Help Me With Certain Problems That I Would Like To Share.
